Romulus and Remus - the wolf

Wolves are wild animals that live in groups called packs. They work together to hunt, raise their young and protect their territory. When a wolf howls it is sending other wolves a message. It might mean "I'm here, where are you?" or "Stay away from my territory!"

Why do you think the wolf in Romulus and Remus looked after the boys?
What would it be like living with wolves in a forest?

  1. I think the wolf might be taking care of Romlus and Remus because he might fell unhappy that two lovely boys have been abanded by someone. The wolf knows how Romlus and Remus fell because he has three playfull cubs. Also he knows that if it where his cubs like when he goes to fetch food for them they will me holing for him to come back.To keep them company but Romlus and Remus don't see there mum or dad eneeymore.

    1. Lovely ideas Tomisin. Now that you have heard the sounds of the forest and seen the wolves, how do you think the boys felt about living in a forest?

  7. Living with wolves would be very scary as the boys are only tiny and the wolves howl very loudly and have sharp teeth like thorns! I can imagine the boys faces must have looked very worried the first time they saw the pack of wolves.

  8. I think the wolf looked after the boys because she felt sorry for them. They must have been heartbroken so she want to take care of them

    1. I agree Amisha because they would not be able to look after themselves. They would not be able to hunt or find shelter.
