"It's all right now, little sister. Go back to sleep."


This picture shows Hansel and Gretel's stepmother hovering over the children's bed just before they awoke to be taken into the deepest part of the forest.

1) How do you think the stepmother felt in this picture? Why do you think this?
2) If you could interview her here, what would you want to ask her?

    In my mind I think the mum can't take the childrens in the deepest part of the forest. Its realy evil to some childrens and I can't belive that the mum is so happy that the dad belives her for real.

      I know! I can't believe that the dad consented! It really is shocking. I think the dad should stand up for himself and STOP her!
