Describing a scene

We have started to explore Anthony Browne's version of the classic fairy tale Hansel and Gretel by the Brothers Grimm.

Anthony Browne is famous for his wonderful illustrations and this is where we have started.

Can you describe the scene below? Think about what you can see and how it makes you feel.  Remember to use descriptive language and write in short sentences.

What might the children hear and feel in this scene?

  1. I think the children are feeling sad because they don't want to be left alone in the forest.

  2. The children might refuse to go into the forest ,but their parents had to drag, heave and tug to get them out of the house and into the forest. They dont want their parents to drag them out of the house and leave them there alone........they think that the big bad wolf is out there in Little Red Riding Hood and he might eat them. Little Red Riding Hood was in a lot of danger. The wolf ate Granny and that was not nice, was it. Exelklent blogging from me , i know.
