A Road to Dulwich


Finally, we got to see the painting by Nicolaes Berchem called the A Road Through a Wood, at Dulwich Picture Gallery.

Would the picture have looked any different 450 years ago when it was originally painted? 
How did you feel when you saw the painting in real life?

    The painting would have looked brighter and more colourful, when it was first painted. It was amazing to see the painting in real life. It was so much bigger than we thought.

    The painting is beuatifull and big on a huge frame then a small picture on a board.
    when was the picture painted?Let me have 3 guesses!mayby 200 years ago or 700
    years ago ok last and final guess 800 years ago.!!!

    I loved going on a trip to the picture gallery i was more amazed when i saw the picture that we were learning
