Time to think ...


Answer Emperor Nero's three questions about our trip to Fishbourne Roman Palace in West Sussex. Remember to use the information in the timetable.

    Try to work out the exact times Tyrese. If we boarded the coach at 9:15 and arrived at Fishbourne at 10:50, how long did the journey take?

    Lunch took half an hour. From 11:35 - 12:05.

    It took an hour and thirty five minutes. From 9:15-10:50.

      I new that it was from 9-10 and that is an hour. Then I saw that if you add 35 minutes to 9:15 then it will become 9:50.

      I used a number line to find out the time between 9:15 and 10:50. I jumped 45 mins to get to ten, then 50 mins to get to 10:50. Then I added 45 and 50 together to get 95min, which is 1 hour and 35 mins.

    The film took 30 mins. How long did it take to look at the ruins and museum Year 3?

    It took 95 mins to get to Fishbourne Palace. It took 135 mins to get back. We travled by coach 2 hours and 15 mins altogether.
